APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WITH LOGICAL CHOICE, INC.
Description
The district is beginning a districtwide initiative to install a projector with “ActivBoard +2” resource in every instructional classroom at all schools within a twelve month period. This contract will provide professional development services to all Phase I educators of the project. Members of this phase include 35% of the teachers at every school. Training will include (2) half-day sessions. All training will be small group, curriculum content focused, hands-on and held at the site. Training for staff will be coordinated by the Office of Instructional Technology and the schools Instructional Technology coach. Funds for this purchase are contained in the Instructional Technology Operational Budget.
Recommendation
That the contract for professional development services between Logical Choice, Inc. and the School Board of Sarasota County be approved as presented.
